Glen Durrant carried on his recent good form in The British Open at Bridlington this weekend making the semi finals.
Glen made his way through the large field with ease, not dropping a leg until he reached the board final. He played fellow Cleveland player Rich Corner which went 3-2 in Durrant’s favour.
In the last 32 game, again Glen did not drop a leg, The next game would see him play former World Champion Ted Hankey. Glen had another 3-0 win to earn a place in the quarter finals against another World Champion John “Boy” Walton, who Glen beat earlier in the month on T.V. at the World Masters. Glen won through with 3-2 to take his place in the semi finals against Willy Van Der Wiel from the Netherlands. The Dutchman won the semi final 2-1 in sets, with Glen having the slightly higher average of 31.58
