Today I had a phone call to say that last night I lost a good mate.... Milton Anderson. I have known Milton for a very long time and he has been a great family friend. To some people on first meeting Milton he could come over as a little abrasive but that couldn’t be further from the truth when you got to know him. Milton loved darts, and the people connected to darts, he and Netty had a great input into Tyne and Wear darts for many years. His love for darts goes back thirty odd years when he played in the Gosforth league, then moved to Bedlington where he played Super league and local league. Milton travelled all over for the sport he loved and made sure his mates made it to the venues too.
He had a heart of gold. He was there when you needed him and believe me, he was for me and my family. I have had my fall outs with him, indeed called him at times, but that doesn’t take away the good times over the years, and believe me he was on the receiving end of many of my relentless pranks! I had the pleasure to be his best man when he married Netty, well of course that was license to torment him for the two whole months run up to the wedding and the day itself.
I just wished…… well, it’s too late now. He won't be forgotten in this family thats for sure.
My Mate MILTON ANDERSON......Tab Hunter
