WHAT A GREAT ADVERTISEMENT FOR DARTS IN DURHAM
Paul "Butch" Knighton took the Wear Valley Classic Title with a win over Gold Cup pairs partner Phil Nixon with a 5-1 final win. All games being close.
In the Semi Finals Paul beat Alan Bell and Phil was the victor over George Davison. The last eight saw Alan Bell beat David Dodds. Paul beat Neil Bainridge. George Davidson beat Brian Nesbit. Phil winning a good close game against Jas Bone.
The last sixteen results were: David Dodds beat David Dougal. Alan Bell beat Kevin Hill. Paul beat Jack Bell. Neil Bainbridge beat Lee Morton. George Davison beat Kevin Naughton. Brian Nesbit went through with a bye, Jas Bone beat Martin Farmer and Phil beat Keith Newton.
With over £1500 paid out, another Wear Valley Classic will be held in October.Thanks to Jas Bone for the information.
Hesleden super league player Paul Jennings finished fourth in this years B.D.O. Grand Prix points list.
And gets an invite into the Winmau World Masters and if applicable, into the the International Play-Offs for the Lakeside World Professional Championships.

Selsey June 26
Paul Jennings and John Hardman had a great run through to the Semi Finals at the English Open pairs at Selsey, The pairing did well in a large entry to eventually lose out to Paul Hogan and Paul Gibbs 3-1.
This pairing went on to win the Final
Well done to Durham Ladies player, Kirsty Hutchinson. Kirsty recently earned the honour of being voted Lady Player of the Tournament at the Youth Friendship games held at Aberdeen.
This is the second year in a row that Kirsty has won the award, winning all her three games and dropping just the one leg on the way. Her best average on the day was 22.40.
Congratulations to Kirsty who will also represent Durham in the Finals of The Gold Cup Ladies pairs in August.
June 20
Hesleden pairing Paul Jennings and Johm Hardman travelled to the Nottinghamshire Open at the weekend. John made it through to the last sixteen while Paul progressed to the final where he was defeated 5-2 by Essex player Jamie Robinson

Another good win for Glen Durrant his second in a row after taking last weeks Ormesby Open
A good turnout in the Durham Ladies Super Leagues Singles on Sunday June 13. The semi finals saw Jenny Summers beat Alison Wells 2-0. In the other semi final Cheryl Woof beat Kath Renwick 2-1. Cheryl went on to win the Final 2-0 to take the Ladies Singles title to add to the recent Cleveland Ladies Super League Singles title.
June 5
Sixty four players entered the New Demi Open on Saturday June 5th. Semi finalists were Paul Williams, Sue Edwards, Alan Patterson and John Stevenson. The winner was John Stevenson with a 5-1 win over Alan Patterson.
